The great epic Mahabharat since time immemorial considered to be one of the greatest at the international level, created by Maharshi Ved-Vyas is being translated into Gujarati language by the foundation. There are numerous versions of Mahabharat available in many Indian languages. After about half a century’s study, research and comparative evaluation of all the versions the foundation has accepted the authorized version prepared by Bhandarkar Oriental Institute from Pune. A panel of translators consisting of Messers Vasant Parikh, Dr. Tapasvi Nandi, Prof. Mansukhlal Savalia, Dr. J. K. Bhatt, Dr. Shantikumar Pandya and Prof. R. D. Shukla has translated all the hymns in Gujarati language together with original verses. The editor of these volumes is Shri Dinkar Joshi. It is being published in twenty volumes. At the function organizes on 1/3/2009 for public dedication, five volumes of this book were released. The episodes of ‘Adi-Parva’, ‘Sabha-parva’ and ‘Aranyak Parva’ are included in these volumes. The rest of the 15 volumes with total number of 14,000 demi size pages are also released in march 2010.
